British seaside holidays growing
Britain’s seaside travel and leisure industry has survived and is also growing, with its job opportunities contributing £3.6bn towards the economy, a report from academics indicates.
The Blackpool region experienced the largest single concentration regarding seaside tourist job opportunities at in excess of 19,000, the report discovered.
Leisure and tourism usually growing market. The things our figures demonstrate is that, even in the face of stiff competition coming from holidays in foreign countries, Britain’s seaside towns have been able to maintain and in many cases increase much of their key business.
Although some locations have withered on the vine, the majority are reinventing themselves in order to seize their share of a general development in domestic tourism. Blackpool could possibly be the new British Staycations hot spot.
